Trista, a seasoned social worker and counsellor with 20 years of international experience, welcomes you to embark on a journey of self-discovery with her. Her extensive knowledge in human development, psychology, interpersonal dynamics, mental health, trauma, and addiction forms the basis of her trauma-informed and person-centered approach. With a worldly perspective gained from travelling to 75 countries and volunteering in 10 countries, she fosters a better understanding of diverse races, religions and cultures. Trista’s dedication to mindfulness and meditation took her to over 10 countries for nearly two years, where she was inspired to develop a distinctive and holistic counselling style. She excels at integrating mindfulness with various psychotherapies such as Attachment-based Interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Person Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic, Satir Model and Somatic Experiencing through a trauma-informed lens to protect clients from being retraumatized during the counselling process.

Trista’s varied counselling experience encompasses employment in both private counseling centers, integrated family services centers, psychiatric clinics, and youth institutions. She has also provided support to individuals facing physical and mental health challenges in India and worked with teachers and orphans in Malawi. This rich experience further enriches her holistic counseling approach. Trista specializes in guiding individuals through the healing process for trauma, mental health issues, and grief, with the ultimate goal of helping them regain momentum and lead meaningful, thriving lives. She is equally adept at navigating challenges in family, marriage, and parenting by delving into individuals’ personal and family members’ growth journeys and considering the influences stemming from their respective family backgrounds. This process fosters self-reflection and leads to subtle enhancements in their family, marital, and parent-child relationships.

Marggie has a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and over a decade of experience supporting people from all ages and diverse backgrounds that face challenges in physical health, mental health or behaviours. Her experience includes supporting immigrants and their families as well as mixed-raced individuals from a cross-cultural lens that addresses Identity, belonging, and intergenerational healing. Connie has over 15 years of experience as a mental health practitioner in Singapore before she moved to Canada to continue with her clinical practice in 2020. She has worked with youths and adults struggling with addictions, men and women who were incarcerated, and young adults struggling with their mental health. Today she works with individuals and couples to help them develop the skills and insight to navigate their lives more confidently and manage their life challenges more effectively. Connie has a heart for those who are struggling due to their early life experiences and past trauma. She is a firm believer in the healing power of hope and compassion, and is passionate about helping individuals tap into their internal resources and develop their unique strengths to live the life they deserve.

She specialises in a broad range of issues: anxiety and stress management, self-esteem and identity, relationship difficulties, life transitions and loss and grief. As a trained Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher, her therapeutic approach is gentle, and person-centered with a focus on the spiritual and compassionate capacity of the individual. She integrates a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Attachment-Based interventions, Neurobiological theory and trauma-informed practices (specifically Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing or EMDR) in her work with individual clients, and the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy in her work with couples. She cares deeply about personal growth and transformation and looks forward to embarking on this journey with you towards a more meaningful and purposeful life.
